Our network

Responsible routing, built into the network.

39T connectivity is supported by 39D Services Limited’s autonomous network, AS34979—an official participant in the MANRS Network Operators programme.

Why routing security matters

The Internet depends on networks exchanging trustworthy directions.

Internet routing tells traffic which networks and paths to use. Incorrect or malicious routing information can contribute to outages, diverted traffic and wider instability. MANRS turns recognised operational good practice into a shared set of actions for network operators.

01

Filtering

Help prevent incorrect routing information from being announced to neighbouring networks.

02

Anti-spoofing

Use source-address validation to reduce traffic sent with forged source IP addresses.

03

Coordination

Maintain accessible, current contact information so network operators can respond to incidents.

04

Global validation

Publish routing and number-resource information so other networks can validate announcements.

What this means for customers

A public commitment to responsible network operation.

MANRS participation provides independent, public evidence that the operator of AS34979 has committed to recognised routing-security actions. It supports 39T’s wider approach of considering security at the internet edge, across the managed connection and inside the customer premises.

  • Connectivity backed by experienced network operators
  • Routing practices designed to reduce common Internet threats
  • Published operational information for industry coordination
  • A security approach that extends beyond the local firewall

Clear, accurate claims

Participation is a commitment—not an absolute guarantee.

MANRS helps improve routing security through collective action. It does not mean that every Internet outage, third-party route leak or cyberattack is impossible. 39T therefore combines responsible upstream network operation with resilient service design, managed gateways, monitoring and practical customer support.

Frequently asked questions

About MANRS and AS34979.

What is MANRS?

MANRS stands for Mutually Agreed Norms for Routing Security. It is a global initiative that defines practical actions network operators can take to improve the security and resilience of Internet routing.

Is MANRS a guarantee that outages cannot happen?

No. MANRS participation demonstrates implementation of recognised routing-security actions and a commitment to responsible operation, but no network standard can guarantee that every outage or Internet routing incident will be prevented.

Which network is listed by MANRS?

39D Services Limited is listed in the MANRS Network Operators programme for AS34979, serving Great Britain. 39T uses the group’s network engineering capability to support its connectivity services.
